Dr. Amy Levin speaks about her memories, career accomplishments, and relationship with NIU. Before retiring in 2015 to do independent research, Dr. Levin served many roles at the university since first being hired in 1995: professor (now Emeritus), Chair of English, Director of Women's Studies, Coordinator of Museum Studies, and Acting Associate Dean. A two-time recipient of the Fulbright Scholar fellowship in Burma and Amsterdam, she also highlights her extensive travel and research and shares stories from those experiences. Dr. Levin focuses heavily on diversity and equity with every topic, emphasizing the struggles the many peoples she has worked with have faced.
