Woodbury-Forsythe Diaries (Sandwich), 1876-1928

The Woodbury-Forsythe Collection traces the daily events in the lives of two Sandwich, Illinois families, the Forsythes and the Woodburys, over two generations. The diaries span from 1876 through 1921. The collection contains the diaries of Frances (Coleman) Forsythe, 1876-1919; Nellie (Forsythe) Woodbury, 1893-1921; and William Walden Woodbury, 1892-1902. Researchers interested in education and schoolteachers will find the diaries of particular interest as they detail the Woodbury’s careers in the public schools of Sandwich.

More information can be found in the collection's finding aid.
