550. Richard F. Barret to William H. Herndon.

Dear Sir

Yours of the 12th inst to my wife is before me, as you request her to send you her photograph I herewith Enclose one Taken in 1870. when she was 46 years of age. we have not one taken when she was younger. when this picture was taken she had passed the turn of life and was fleshey and was unlike her younger days. when Young her hair was brown, her Eyes Brown her flesh fair between a brunett and a Blonde.

like most women she thinks this is not a good picture and did not want to send It but I perswaided her to let me Send It.

when you get a copy pleas return this picture as I have only the one.
