In looking over the Life of Lincoln by Chauncey F. Black. I can see that he has given a false coloring to many of the assumed facts. It would have been a much more readable book had you written it out in full. Fell told me at great length of the mode he adopted to induce Lamon to change the statements shewing the connection between our friend & Abe Enlow. Under the circumstances, suppositions & possibilities I don't see how Lincoln received the name of "Abraham"? Do you know?
