Dear Sir,

I enclose you the addition to be inserted at the proper place in the reference to Mr Lincoln's visit to Mass in 1848 where mention is made of Mr Ls speaking in Boston with Mr Seward.

By the way I hope I made no blunder in speaking of the place where the meeting was held. It was at Tremont Temple — not Faneuil Hall. Please look and see.
