585. Edward L. Pierce to William H. Herndon.
Milton Mass 28 Jan '90
My dear Sir.
Yours is received
I am happy to say that I shall not disturb you in the possession of the M.S.S concerning Mr Lincoln which I sent you. — while you need them. Perhaps you might let me see proof of such parts as you may use — to avoid errors.
You will see in the "Nation" of this or next week a brief statement "Mr. Lincoln as a Colonizationalist" signed by a star which I contributed.
Yours truly
Edward L Pierce
You might return me my M.S.S after you have used it.
