The Greenbacker's Appeal.
59
BY W. S. LURTON.
Oh, pay the debt with Greenbacks,
And stop contraction soon,
'Twill start up all the factories
And fast will run the looms.
The boys will all be happy,
Will work the live long day;
We'll hear no more of "Tramping,"
For labor then will pay.
CHORUS: -- Come join the Greenback Party,
Yes, join us while you're here;
Come help rout the Shylocks
And be happy all the year.
We're down on thieves like Sherman,
And Tilden, he's no go,
And the Shylock Jew named Belmont,
Wags the National lo-cofo.
Then join the Greenback party,
And then we'll pay the debt,
In solid silver money,
And Greenbacks too, you bet.
CHORUS.
