1. In every land and nation,
Where e'er the sunlight gleams,
The farmer's faithful labor,
Fulfills his cherished dreams, public benefactor,
He proves to great and small,
In ev'ry rank and station,
The farmer feeds them all.
CHORUS.
The farmer feeds them all,
In cottage or in hall,
In ev'ry land and nation,
The farmer feeds them all.
2. From dawn till golden sunset,
The fertile field he tills,
By constant earnest effort,
A mission grand fulfills,
A noble man by nature,
By none he's held in thrall,
God bless the faithful farmer,
Whose strength provides for all.
CHORUS.
3. By systematic labor,
His ample, bounteous store,
By many fold increases,
Each season makes it more,
Oh! life of brave endeavor,
Fruition crowned and blest,
No life more glad or cheerful,
By nature's smiles caressed.
CHORUS.
