LAURA E. NEWELL.
E. W. STRAUB, by per.

1. Over the mystic sea,
There in the sunny land,
Friends that are dear to me,
Dwell with the ransomed band.
Far from life's care and strife,
Past all its woe and pain,
Glad in that heavenly life,
Where we may meet again.

CHORUS.

Over the waves of the mystic sea,
Gently my treasures were borne from me,
But when temptation and trials are past,
Then shall I greet them at last, at last.

2. Down to the silent sea,
Clasped in death's cold embrace,
Drifted my loved from me,
And from life's weary race,
Gently the message came,
Lovingly tenderly Angels have breathed each name,
Calling them thence from me.

CHORUS.

3. Soon shall the morning dawn,
Night shall in silence flee,
Soon shall my woes be gone,
Welcome eternity.
There with the loved and lost,
Voices are calling me,
Soon shall I too have crossed
Over the mystic sea.

CHORUS.
