Responsive Readings. — Closing Service.

Doxology.

Leader. — Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Response. — Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Leader. — Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Response. — Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Leader. — Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Response. — Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Leader. — Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

Response. — Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Leader. — Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Response. — Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Leader. — Blessed is she that believed, for there shall be fulfillment of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord.

Response. — Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters.

Leader. — Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gate into the city.

Response. — Blessed are those servants whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching.

Leader. — If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

* Singing."God be with you till we meet again." First stanza (p. 130).

Leader. — The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Response. — The eternal God is they refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms; and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

Singing.Second stanza (p. 130).

Leader. — The Lord that made heaven and earth, bless thee out of Zion. The Lord is thy keeper.

Response. — The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall note smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Singing.Third stanza(p. 130).

Leader. — The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil. He shall preserve thy soul.

Response. — The Lord shall preserve thy going out and they coming in from this time forth, even and for evermore.

Singing.Fourth stanza (p. 130).

Leader. — The Lord bless thee and keep thee.

Response. — The Lord make his face to shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee.

Leader. — The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace.
