JAS. L. ORR.

1. Patrons, arise and join our triumphant song
Darkness fades, the night is gone.
Over the hills of gloom comes a crimson ray,
Morning breaks O glorious dawn,
Long have the shades our eyelids pressed,
Shutting out the golden day.

Long have we borne, with earth's oppressed,
Wrong's affront and error's sway.

REFRAIN.
Joyfully rise, proclaim to the sons of toil,
Rights redeemed and vict'ry won.
Herald the glad, glad news to each waiting heart,
Labor's triumph has begun, (begun.)

2. Up from the field of toil where the reaping band
Gather in the golden grain,
Toiling from morn till eve with unceasing hand,
Comes the sweet and glad refrain,
From hill and vale, from globe and glen,
Hear the song so grand and free.
Of toiling hosts, to action roused,
Marching on to victory.

REFRAIN.
