FIFTH DEGREE.
C. L. WHITNEY.
JAS. L. ORR.

1. Husband-man and Matron true,
Would you strength and zeal renew?
Join hands in a broader field,
Try what larger unions yield.
Seek our Order's higher court,
At Pomona's feet report,
And when frowning ills appear,
Heed them not, but persevere.

2. Patrons, on your weary way,
Is there darkness and delay?
Have you trouble, constant strife
To attain the higher life?
Seek Pomona's signet ring,
Talismanic words 'twill bring,
Words that conquer far and near;
Always hope and persevere.

3. Of Pomona wisdom learn,
Beauty's forms with ages turn;
Earth to earth, and dust to dust,
Time will keep his sacred trust.
But these minds with truth imbued,
Pure with love, and faith renewed,
Gems immortal will appear;
Only hope and persevere.
