The Losses in the Battle at Fredericksburg.
The estimate of the losses at the battle of Fredericksburg by the correspondent of the New York Tribune, in our dispatches are startling. We were prepared to hear that our loss had been heavy, but we think 13,000 entirely too high an estimate. The following statement by the correspondent of the Missouri Democrat, we hope may prove nearer the truth. That corespondent says:
Col. Dennis, agent for the State of Indiana, returned to-day from Fredericksburg. He gives the following estimate of losses which looks more rational than any we have been having lately: Killed, 750; wounded, 4,000; missing, 500. In all, 5,000.
