200,000 More Men Called For.
By an order of the President published under the telegraphic head, it will be seen that the President has ordered a draft for two hundred thousand men, for service in the army, navy and marine corps of the United States, to take place as soon as practicable after the 15th of April next. Volunteering will be continued until that date, giving an opportunity to each State to raise its quota in that manner. The large bounties cease with the 1st of April. Until that time enlistments will be active. Shall not Illinois make one grand effort to fill her quota without resort to the draft?
This new call is evidently made with the approval of Gen. Grant, as Commander-in-Chief of all the armies of the United States in the field, if not at his suggestion.
