ROBERT WATTS TO GENERAL SCHUYLER.

Albany, June 15, 1776.

SIR: As you will not consent to LadyJohnson' s going toNew-York without giving two gentlemen as securities, I shall take it as a favour if you will let me know as soon as possible, by a line, what engagements they are to be under, as I cannot apply to any gentleman until you inform me.
