Ordered, That leave be given to bring in a bill of general amnesty for all offences and misdemeanours against the laws of this Slate, antecedent to the fifth day of August last, the day on which the Declaration of the Independency of the States of America was made in this State, with an exception of State prisoners and any others which it might be injurious to the welfare of the State to include in such general amnesty. And that the Reverend Mr˙ Tennent, Colonel Pinckney, the Honourable Mr˙ Edwards, Mr˙ Cannon, and Mr˙ Young, do prepare and bring in the same.
