Mr˙ Speaker, with the House, accordingly attended the President in the Council Chamber. And being returned,

Mr˙ Speaker reported, that the House having attended the President in the Council Chamber, he had presented to his Excellency "An Ordinance to direct the manner of procuring Negroes to be employed in the publick service," to which his Excellency had been pleased to give his assent.
