SIR: We are much surprised that no information of your motions has yet been given to the Committee. In order to obtain it, we have sent this express, whom we wish you to return back with some intelligence as soon as possible. We have accounts of about ninety Tories having collected at the Hellebergh and its neighbourhood. If you can safely spare any part of your force, we would be glad if you could send the Schoharie company and the Rangers that way, as soon as possible, the most direct route. We shall send a party from here to meet them.
I am, sir,
ROB' T YATES, Chairman, &c.
To Captain John Bradt.
