Newburyport, December 18, 1776.
SIR: I this morning received your favour of the 16th instant, covering a resolution of the honourable Board, directing the Committee appointed the 16th ultimo by the Court to proceed to Providence, there to meet, on the 23d instant, Committees from the other States of New-England, on affairs mentioned in said resolution.
Ever billing to serve my country, I shall endeavour to obey this new instruction from the honourable Council, of which I beg the favour of your acquainting them.
