Annapolis, June 2, 1776.
GENTLEMEN: We received a letter this morning from Virginia by express; and as there is no telling the particular destination of the fleet, and as your town may possibly be an object with them, we have thought it proper to enclose you a copy, that, in case it should be necessary, you may be prepared to receive them.
