HARLEM, August 13, 1776.

SIR: Mr˙ Pellit, the Doorkeeper of the State, in his account brought in to me to audit, has charged for his board since he came from New-York, which I have not as yet allowed. Will you please to direct me whether I am to make an allowance for his board, and if so, how much.
