A Letter from John Nicholson, esq˙, of Ulster County, was read and filed, and is in the words following, to wit:

New-Windsor, July 13, 1775.

SIR: Agreeable to my warrant and instructions from the Provincial Congress of New-York, I have enlisted a company of seventy-two men, to serve in the Continental Army; and now wait for the further directions of the Congress. I am your most obedient servant,
