MASSACHUSETTS BOARD OF WAR TO COMMISSARY NEWMAN.

War Office, Boston, December 23d, 1776.

SIR: Your letter of 21st just now came to hand. Agreeable to your request, the Board will as soon as possible appoint a Commissary, until which you will pursue the business in the best manner in your power.
